Dave, not sure if you have seen this, but some old racing pics of you and the wife. Use to live in CO (Vail and Crested Butte) for a bit before moving to utah.

I just watched Race Across the Sky. What an excellent show. I get to mentor newbies pretty often and I constantly tell them to thank the volunteers. And what did you yell out at the top of Columbine? A huge “thank you” to the volunteers. You are an inspiration and a role model.

I watched you win Leadville last year and we were there this year as well. We camp in Stumpville at the base of Mosquito Pass and then take in the race.
Your inspiration and humility are unmatched. Oh yeah we just wtached the Movie here in Castle Rock and what a great story. You are an inspiration and as Clober says, ” A Homeboy “.
Keep coming back to Leadville. We need you.

Dave: Through you I hope to give a shout to Susan. I was an RT at FRH in Paradise when she worked ICU there. Love her, miss her genuine spread of happiness. I’m down the hill now in Chico at the “Big E”. I read that she’s still nursing. And even though you’re a Denver fan did she keep it real with the Niners/Raiders?=) I follow you too Dave and this funky little area isn’t showing Race Across The Sky. Dave… I had no idea you were such a dyke expert! Hey keep up the writing–Anne reads your blog and gets a kick out of it. Nice pics of you and family at HR also! The boys cracked me up when I saw you at the base area. And going up to the Wagon trail is where Susan’s team (Kerri) passed (crushed) me on the Classic! Hope she had fun.. It was hard to enjoy the trail after 80mi…
